Fellowship Activities

KrisKrafters

Have you ever wanted to learn to knit or crochet, or do you have these skills and are willing to teach someone else how to knit or crochet? Then we invite you to be part of the KrisKrafters. The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month in Wilson Fellowship Hall at 9:00 a.m. For those that would like to take more time to work on projects or learn a new skill the group stays for an after lunch session also. Bring your lunch and join in the fun!

Fellowship Groups

In a congregation of over 800 members it is easy for new and old members alike, to feel “lost in the crowd.” Not at Willowbrook.

A unique entity called fellowship groups encourages small “groups” of Willowbrookers with common interests to get together. A special benefit is providing a ready association of new members with those who have been at Willowbrook for years. There are numerous active groups in the communities served by our church. The purpose of the groups is defined as “to provide fellowship, welcome new members, support one another in emergencies, establish communication, and provide an avenue for expression of ideas.”

Each group plans special events. There can be social activities—dining out, gathering for picnics or potlucks, going to a concert or play, or attending special church events together. Some of the groups have organized their own outreach projects aimed at caring for those in need, becoming another element in this mission-oriented church.
