Study Ministries

Bible study and spiritual growth are central to Willowbrook's ministry. We invite you to explore the many opportunities available to deepen your faith and understanding of God's Word. In addition to our standard classes, Advent and Lenten Bible studies are offered to draw us closer to God at these special seasons of the year.

Lectionary Bible Study

The Revised Common Lectionary guides us through a three-year journey of Scripture, beginning each year with the season of Advent. Each week, we gather to explore the four assigned readings—usually a Gospel, a New Testament passage, an Old Testament lesson, and a Psalm—and discover how they speak to our lives today. You don’t need any prior Bible study experience—just come as you are! Join us Mondays at 11:00 a.m. in the Library.

Men's Bible Study

This Men's Bible Study represents all levels of Bible knowledge. We love to have new members be a part of our exciting and rewarding Bible study. It is never too late to come and join our group. This study meets Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Library.

Women's Bible Study

This Women's Bible Study is a group of fun-loving women focused on faith building and connection. We share a common interest in studying the Bible and discussing the Christian message of the scriptures. This study meets Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Wilson Fellowship Hall.

Disciple Bible Study

Disciple is a program of discipled Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. The study gives Old and New Testaments equal time, emphasizing the wholeness of the Bible as a revelation of God. Disciple draws upon the work of scholars, the personal Bible reading and study of the participant, and dynamic group discussion to aid understanding of the Bible. This is a multiple-year study divided into four phases.

Disciple I Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study
Disciple II Into the Word into the World
Disciple III Remember Who You Are
Disciple IV Under the Tree of Life

Contact our pastor for more information. This study meets January through April on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the Library.
