Willowbrook Church in Sun City is starting to livestream their services each week. We are also posting a selection of devotional videos from our older channel. Rev. Gary Kennedy reminds us that Jesus is the same all the time.
Scripture reminds us we are not alone when we experience trials and discomfort. We are assured over and over again that there is nothing too great for the Lord. God is with us and walks with us through the valleys. We are never alone. Thank you, Jesus! May we praise God daily for his constant presence. Consider inviting others to be a part of His glorious blessings in their lives. Now is a perfect time to invite others. During the season of Advent, people are more receptive to your invitation to become Christmas people.
Laurie shares a devotional emphasizing the importance of expressing gratitude often. Start keeping a gratitude journal then on a bad day, you can go back and read that journal.
Malachi is not the first prophet to point out that God's people were not following God's plan for them. Malachi is reminding people that there is a Saviour coming and people will have to repent. Pastor Gary Kennedy points out that we, like they are called to repentance. If not for Emmanuel, we all would still be in bondage. He then goes on to recommend that as we decorate our homes and send or receive cards, we use each ornament or light as a reminder to thank God for our blessings. And with each card we address or receive, to pray for the sender or the receiver. This will add so much more to our celebration of the birth of our Saviour, our Emmanuel.
Rev. Ruth Blum shares a message of hope as we celebrate Thanksgiving and look ahead to the beginning of the Advent season. We can all have hope in Jesus Christ.
Pastor Ruth reminds us that even though we become weary at this time of year, it is important to remember the true message of Advent is there is Hope in Jesus. He is our stronghold.
Giving is not depriving us from our living but investing in our future. God loves a cheerful giver who gives from the heart.
In 2 Corinthians 9:5-12 in the New Living Translation we are reminded God loves a cheerful giver! On this final day of our Pledge Campaign we are reminded by Rev. Gary Kennedy that our gifts are to come from the heart. God does not want us to give grudgingly but joyfully. We are also praising God for another broken record. We dedicated 78 turkeys being donated to the Food Bank. May we continue to give from our hearts.
