Willowbrook UMC

Willowbrook Church in Sun City is starting to livestream their services each week. We are also posting a selection of devotional videos from our older channel. Welcome to Willowbrook Church in Sun City AZ where we agree with the historic doctrines of the Christian faith regarding God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the role of the church in the world and more. We have a strong belief in the Bible as our primary guide and rule for life. Willowbrook is known for our emphasis on a personal faith which leads us to active participation in our communities and world. If you would like to know more about what it means to follow Christ, please call 623-974-5637 and ask to speak with one of our pastors.

What do you think you will do when you meet Jesus face to face?
On Laity Sunday, Lay Speaker Diane Nelson shares from Ephesians 3:16 and John 1:16. During this service, lay members of the congregation honor our Veterans with posting of the colors and then sing a medley of Armed Forces songs.
By staying connected with Jesus, we know we can always call out to Him for help, for peace, for comfort, for guidance, for LIFE! Always stay connected.
Rev. Matt Ashley uses Luke 19:1-10 to talk to the congregation about Growing Up.
At the beginning of the service, Jon Wiggs, co-chair of the Staff Parish Committee reads a letter from District Superintendent Rev. Melissa Rynders introducing Willowbrook's new Associate Pastor Lisa Marie Tautua'a to replace Rev. Ruth Blum who recently retired. We look forward to greeting Pastor Tautua'a on November 1st. Pastor Matt Ashley opened his message by asking, "Do you trust God?" He points out we are saved when we put our trust in Jesus Christ as our Savior. Do we continue to trust him? He uses a comical illustration of how TRUST works. Trust demonstrates FAITH in a person, an organization, a tool, and the list goes on. Some people act like they trust God, but many are actually trusting their own strength. In his message, Pastor Matt points out that trust needs to be accompanied by humility.
Using the scripture passage of Luke 18:1-8, Pastor Matt shares the importance of never giving up on prayer.
If a BAD judge can have compassion and finally listen to a request, how much mor will a LOVING God have compassion and hear our prayers.
Jesus sends you friendships that never die. Your task is to share them with others.
