Rev. Lois Hedden, is retired clergy, and a member of this annual conference. She says this is sort of her third or fourth career. She began working in food service, and retail, then banking plus raising two rambunctious boys.
She knew God had called her into ministry, but she kept trying to make God happy in other ways. [i.e. serving on almost every committee, teaching Sunday School, leading United Methodist Youth, and going on mission trips.] God still wanted more, so she took a leave of absence from her banking position and started college.
Her pre-seminary education comes from College of Southern Nevada. [Then CCSN, Community College) and UNLV. Seminary training took place in Dallas at Perkins School of Theology on the Southern Methodist University campus where she earned a Master of Divinity degree.
She served over twenty years of active ministry as an Elder in churches from Phoenix to Mesquite! She comes to Willowbrook Pastoral team as Pastor of Visitation.
