Jesus had begun his ministry and went about preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons. People followed him and wanted him to stay in their village. He reminded his disciples that he was sent to them to reach as many people as possible and to heal and cast out demons. He was sent to go everywhere. The people recognized he was different from the scribes who were well educated but the scribes did not serve the people. They did not cast out demons or heal the sick. Many people responded to his message and told others about him and they kept following him, wanting to learn more and receive more from him.
